Integration

Connected to what you already run

An IT management platform that ignores the rest of your stack is just another tab. Monitic takes the opposite position: the firewalls, security tools, backup targets, and hypervisors you already operate should report into the same console that manages your endpoints — and, where it makes sense, be controllable from it.

Every integration below is purpose-built. Firewall data lands in Monitic's firewall management module, security findings land in the SOC dashboard and vulnerability views, backup job results feed backup monitoring and alerting, and virtualization platforms get full inventory and lifecycle control — no middleware server to host and no generic connector to hand-assemble for the systems on this list.

For the systems that aren't on it, you are not stuck waiting for a connector. Monitic's automation module is the integration layer: inbound webhooks let any external system trigger a Monitic workflow, and outbound HTTP actions let a workflow drive anything with an API — reinforced by the same fleet-wide scripts and deployments the engine already runs. That is how customer-specific, tailor-made integrations get built here — on the platform you already operate, in both directions, without a separate middleware server to stand up beside it.

Firewalls

Firewalls are where network problems hide. Monitic connects to the four vendors below over their native APIs — no agent installed on the firewall itself — and pulls device health, policy data, and DHCP information into one fleet-wide view. On FortiGate and OPNsense, Monitic goes a step further with a policy lookup diagnostic that answers the question every ticket eventually reaches: why is this traffic blocked or allowed?

  • FortiGate — REST API integration: device health, interface monitoring, policy and rule visibility, DHCP scope and lease data, and a policy lookup diagnostic that returns the matching-rule verdict for a given flow.
  • OPNsense — API integration: device health, filter-log based policy lookup, and DHCP scope and lease visibility.
  • Sophos Firewall — API integration: device health, policy visibility, and DHCP data.
  • SonicWall — API integration: device health, policy visibility, and DHCP data.

Security

Security tooling generates volume; operators need signal. Monitic's security integrations do the curation for you — findings are normalized and surfaced where your team already works, instead of forcing them into yet another dedicated console.

  • Wazuh — SIEM integration: endpoint security events, file integrity monitoring, security configuration assessment (SCA), and MITRE ATT&CK mapping. Curated findings surface in Monitic's SOC dashboard, and connection credentials are sealed through Monitic's envelope-encrypted secrets service.
  • Greenbone — network vulnerability scanning for the assets that cannot run an agent. Scan results merge into Monitic's vulnerability view and flow into the same remediation workflows as agent-reported findings.

Backup & Storage

A backup that silently stopped running is worse than no backup, because you believe you are covered. Monitic's agent-collector integrations watch backup jobs and storage hardware continuously and raise alerts the moment something drifts.

  • Veeam Backup & Replication — backup job status (success, failure, warning), stale-job detection for jobs that quietly stop running, and alerting.
  • Synology — Hyper Backup and Active Backup job status, plus disk SMART and volume health for the NAS itself.
  • QNAP — backup job status, disk SMART, and volume health.

Virtualization

Whether your workloads run on vSphere, Proxmox, Hyper-V, or in containers, Monitic gives you inventory and lifecycle control without switching consoles.

  • VMware vSphere — official API integration: VM lifecycle management, host and cluster visibility, and guest inventory.
  • Proxmox — API-token integration covering VMs, LXC containers, and cluster status.
  • Hyper-V — WMI-based VM lifecycle (start, stop, checkpoint) with host and guest inventory.
  • Docker — container management: list, start, and stop containers, with live log streaming.

On the roadmap

The following integrations are planned. No dates yet — we ship them when they meet the same bar as everything above.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need middleware or a connector server?

No. Firewall, security, and virtualization integrations connect over the vendor's own API. Backup and NAS integrations use the Monitic agent you already deploy as a collector. There is nothing extra to host.

How are integration credentials stored?

Integration credentials are held by the platform, not scattered across scripts. The Wazuh integration, for example, seals its credentials through Monitic's envelope-encrypted secrets service.

Are integrations available during the trial?

Yes. The 14-day free trial is the full platform, integrations included, so you can validate against your real firewalls, backup jobs, and hypervisors before committing.

What if my vendor is not listed?

Tell us — the roadmap above reflects demand, and requests from evaluations directly shape what comes next. You are not blocked in the meantime: Monitic's automation module integrates in both directions today — inbound webhooks trigger workflows from any external system, and outbound HTTP actions let a workflow drive any API — so a customer-specific, tailor-made integration can be built on the platform without waiting for a purpose-built connector.
